A Leap of Faith

“There are many talented people who haven’t fulfilled their dreams because they over thought it, or they were too cautious, and were unwilling to make the leap of faith.”
~ James Cameron

This year I did it. I stepped out of my comfort zone and pushed myself to do what so many of my friends and family have been saying to do. Without the support of them, this wouldn’t have been possible. I have always had a love for photography. It was something I enjoyed and pursued in high school and college.

After college, I went on to pursue a career in the music industry. I loved my job, I was good at it. And it was fun, I worked for Disney. But after I had my daughter, things came into perspective.  The job was not made for someone with a family, nor was the commute. My husband and I began discussing the option of moving back to our home town to raise our family.  Back to our roots where we grew up and loved it.

So off we went to NY and home I stayed with my girl.  After being home for about a year, I kept wanting to challenge myself and do something to fulfill my creative side. I always received compliments of the pictures I took, mostly of my daughter, and was consistently being urged by family and friends to do something more with it. The last couple years I have been lucky enough to stay home with my daughter and have had the time to take my hobby to another level.  I am so excited to embark on this new journey of making a hobby a business. Being able to do something everyday that I love is truly a blessing. I look forward to sharing this journey with everyone.
